Our Senior School Tour was to Dublin this year.  We visited the G.P.O., National Art Gallery and Natural History Museum.  We headed off on the 7.30a.m. train from Kent Station, Cork and arrived back to Rusheen at 9.30p.m.  It was a long day but well worth it.

Our annual sports day in June this year was most enjoyable, helped in no small way by the beautiful weather.

Our football blitz teams who did very well in the West Muskerry Blitz held in Aghinagh G.A.A.pitch on the 8th of June.  Both our boys and girls teams defeated Kilnamartyra in their respective finals.

This year our Junior Classes went on school tour to the Mardyke Arena and thoroughly enjoyed their day out.

Congratulations to all the pupils on our athletics team who performed so well in the Cork Primary School Sports at the CIT complex held on the 1st of June.  Èireann O’Shea in the Under 13 category and Seàn Cummins and Jacob Barry in the under 9 and 7 categories won their sprints.  Rebecca Morgans, Ròisìn O’Riordan, Noah O’Leary, John Kelleher and James Twomey came second in their sprints.  Jacob and Seàn qualified from their County Quarter Finals to reach the County Final which is a tremendous achievement.  Our boys relay team of Dylan O’Riordan, Jack Kearney, Thomas Morgans and Noah O’Leary ran a superb relay to come in second place.

We had a very successful Book Fair in the School in May and lots of pupils dressed up for the day in their favorite Book Character.
