Last Friday, March 6^th,  Rusheen N.S. contested a Hurling Blitz in Cloughduv G.A.A. indoor AstroTurf pitch.  Four other teams also contested.  There were 15 pupils on the squad from Rusheen N.S.  Because of the size of the panal, two teams were made out of the 15 pupils that entered.  Team 1 consisted of Tadhg P. Sheehan, Brìd Cotter, David Kelleher, Katelyn Kelleher, Adam Ring, Cathal O’Riordan and Gearòid O’Brien.  Team 2 consisted of Sèan O’Riordan, Peter Murphy, Tadhg A. Sheehan, Moira Twomey, Dylan O’Riordan, Caoimhe Looney, Adam Kelly and Jack Kearney.  Team 1 beat Clondrochid 3-2 but unfortunately lost a tight match against Terelton.  Team 2 drew against Rylane 2 all and won against Cill na Martra 3-1.  Altogether a very good day out for Rusheen N.S.

West Muskerry Indoor Hurling Blitz Team

Rusheen had many competitors in Scòr na bPàistì on Friday the 6^th of February at the Muskerry Semi-Final.  We did exceptionally well and got through in six out of the nine competitions.  Unfortunately, the solo singing, solo dancing and the instrumental group did not get through.  The competitors that got through went on to the Muskerry Final on Sunday the 1^st of March in Ovens.  We also did very well in this competition.  We went through in the Figure and Set dancing but didn’t get through in the Trà na gCeist, Bailead Group and Leirù.  Well done to Moira for getting 3^rd place in the Scèalaìocht.  The Figure Dancers and Set Dancers went on to the County Semi-Final on Friday the 6^th of March.  We got through in the Figure Dancing but didn’t go through in the Set.
