County Scòr na bPàistì success for Rusheen N.S.
Rusheen N.S. had a most successful night at the County Final of Scòr na bPàistì held in Ovens on Saturday night last. The Rusheen Novelty Act Team consisting of Adam Kelly, Gearòid O’Brien, Seamus Murphy, Tadhg A. Sheehan, Eoghan O’Brien and Òisin O’Neill captivated their audience with “A Love Story”. Rusheen set dancing team of Adrianne Lynch, Kate Lehane, Adam Leahy, Con Buckley, Aoife Twomey, Brìd Cotter, Katelyn Kelleher, Gràinne Twomey and Moira Twomey performed the Cashel Set magnificently.
Shona White sang a beautiful version of “Cnoicìn Aerach Cill Mhuire” and came first in the County, winning the “Corn Carraig Donn” Cup. Further success ensued for Rusheen when the quiz team of Con Buckley, Adam Kelly and Seàn O’Riordan won the quiz in fine style scoring 54 marks out of a possible 60 and defeating teams from Ballyhooly, Aghada and Bishopstown. They were presented with th “Corn Dù Ealla” Cup. To cap it all Rusheen N.S. was awarded the Prepetual Shield for Best Overall Club/School in the County in Scòr. Well done to everybody who was involved in any way in this great success.
