Last year in the Active Schools Committee we got our first Active Flag by doing activities such as 10 @ 10, Obstacle Courses, Run Around Europe (etc.). Our Active Schools Committee members for this year are Michael Buckley, James Cuddihy, John Kelleher, Chloe Lehane, Amy White and James Twomey. We are holding a Halloween Disco in Aghinagh G.A.A. Hall on the 26th of October and we will all be dressing up for it. We have started to put out equipment for students at lunch time such as hula hoops, hurdles, tunnels (etc.) and the children enjoy it a lot. We are doing a winter Olympics. We had our first Active Schools meeting in Ms. Harrington’s classroom. This year we are hoping to get the Active Flag again with all the new Committee members.
